It was almost surreal. Last evening, as we were hurrying around to prepare some items for our daughters swim team's pasta party, Alicia teaching piano lessons and getting ready for our church's Wednesday evening ministries, an email comes through telling us that we had been given a date to sign the escritura and begin the final process of the adoption. I had to have Alicia read it a second time. We didn't know how to respond at first...but soon the reality hit us and we were filled with joy. I still can't wipe the smile off my face.
We are working on our travel arrangements, so we don’t have many details yet, but we know we will be traveling early next week and will be in Honduras for 4 – 6 weeks. The children will be brought into Tegucigalpa next week as well, so when we sign on Thursday, they are officially our children. We are looking forward to having a few weeks with them in Honduras to begin the bonding process. Thanks again for your prayers!
Please pray that the process moves along at a steady pace. We would love to be home with the children before Easter.
